🧩 Prerequisite for Managing Chrome OS Devices in Urmobo MDM
Before you can start managing Chrome OS devices in Urmobo MDM, a prior authorization must be completed in Google Workspace.
🔑 Step 1: Access the Google Admin Console
Go to the Google Admin Console.
Log in with an administrator account from your organization.
After authentication, the main admin dashboard will be displayed, as shown in the image below:
🔧 Step 2: Access the API Controls
In the left-hand menu of the Google Admin Console, navigate to:
Security > Access and Data Control > API Controls
📍 This section allows you to manage which third-party applications can access your organization’s data in Google Workspace.
🧷 Step 3: Manage Domain-Wide Delegation
On the API Controls page:
Scroll to the bottom of the screen.
Click the option “Manage Domain-Wide Delegation”, as shown in the image below.
📌 This feature allows you to authorize third-party applications — such as Urmobo MDM — to access specific Google Workspace APIs on behalf of users in your domain.
🆕 Step 4: Add New Access for Third-Party Software
On the Domain-Wide Delegation page, you will see a list of third-party software that already has authorized access.
Click “Add new”, as shown in the image below.
🔐 This action allows you to grant specific permissions so that Urmobo MDM can interact with your organization’s Google Workspace services.
✅ Step 5: Fill in the Urmobo MDM Details
Finally, in the pop-up window that appears after clicking “Add new”:
Enter the Urmobo MDM Client ID.
Provide the access scopes (authorized APIs) as supplied by the Urmobo team.
After filling in all fields correctly, click “Authorize”.
🔒 This step is essential for Urmobo to interact with your organization’s Chrome OS devices via the Google API.
🏁 Final Step: Enter Information and Authorize Access
In the pop-up displayed after clicking “Add new”, fill in the fields with the following data:

👉 After filling out the fields, click “Authorize”.
